Easter Corrie is situated in the Cairngorms National Park south of Inverness and west of Aberdeen. Covering 1,500 square miles, the Cairngorms is the largest National Park in the United Kingdom.
The Cairngorms National Park has the most extensive area of high ground in Scotland including four of it's five highest mountains. It
contains three out of the five Scottish ski centres as well as the head
waters of two of Scotland's finest salmon rivers, the Dee and the Spey.
Glenlivet
Glenlivet is situated on the north eastern side of the Cairngorms. It has some of the most varied and beautiful scenery in the National Park.
The clear rushing burns and rivers, sheltered glens and rolling heather
hills offer a holiday retreat where visitors can escape from
the pressures of modern working life and relax in the beautiful countryside
around the rivers Livet and Avon.
The village of Tomintoul is just seven miles from Easter Corrie. At around 1,165 feet,
Tomintoul is reckoned to be the highest village in the Highlands and
is situated at the junction of several old Scottish droving roads. Today
you will find quaint local shops, together with a good selection of
places to eat and drink.
